Recruitment by the Leyline Project
A week of energy and space investigation by Steingrimur Eyfjord (ISL), Jelena Rundqvist (SWE) and Ulrika Sparre (SWE) at NFK Malongen, Stockholm, in October of 2016. Jelena Rundqvist made objects with material found in and around the place for spatial interventions and physical engagement. A left over wooden plank from a construction site became candle holders lightening up details in the space. Some of the studio's furniture were developed into stairs for an alternative spatial view.
The week ended with an open experimental session, hosted by the three artists. Participating guests were offered tools for exploration, including Energy deviators, Body circuits, Energy in a used piece of clothing, Handprint, Pendulum, Moving object and more.
The matter of energies were explored and discussed during the session.
The Leyline Project was founded in 2010 by the artists Ulrika Sparre and Steingrimur Eyfjord. The Leyline Project has done experiments presented in Reykjavik Artmuseum in 2012. The publication The Leyline Project was released in 2015 by Art & Theory- the contributing artists and writers included: Ulrika Sparre, Steingrimur Eyfjord, Cecilia Edefalk, Einar Mar Gudmundsson, Richard Long, Milena Bergquist, Gudlaugur K.
